sonar x1 LE not recognizing Italian Grand II

Hello!
Been trying to solve this problem for some weeks now but to no avail. Bought synthogy italian grand II with new larger Ilok and initially installed the stand alone Cantabile software(64 bit) and the piano works great. No problem. Then i bought the Roland QuadCapture which comes with Sonar Xq1 LE. Have learned a fair amount but to this point have not been able to have sonar recognize the italian grand. Added the folders in synthogy where the .dll is located (both x86 and 64bit folders to be sure). Downloaded some free soft synth just to make sure that i know the process of adding a soft synth and Sonar recognized it without a problem...Anyone has any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks!
Stefan

Check in the Plugin Manager and see if it was installed as an effect instead of a synth.  I have had this happen several times.  If so, bring up the Properties page, and check the "Load as synth" box ( I think that's what it's called ... not in front of the DAW right now).

Thanks Leapinlizard...checked the plugin manager but it doesn't show in either MIDI Effects or Audioeffects in the Plugin Manager... VST instruments shows the SI Drums and Coyote WT and a random VST that i downloaded just to see if Sonar would recognize it...and it does. Pondering to uninstall cantabile (the standalone host that comes with Ivory) and reinstall Ivory as a plug-in -and not standalone and see if sonar recognizes it then...maybe on the weekend...Thanks again.

Leapinlizard...well i solved my problem: in the end it was a problem where Sonar was scanning for the Ivory plugin dll. I had copied the dll into the Program files/ Cakewalk/ vst plugin subfolder and sonar was scanning there but couldn't whatever "recognize" it. Today i noticed that there is a folder Program files/ VSTplugins cakewalk to that directory it finally picked it up....YEAH!!!! thanks again of having me looking around and finally finding what was there....the one strange fact: i had sonar once looked at the whole hard drive to look for plugins and it didn't pick it up...but what can i say...it's working now...Thanks
