Kirk Hunter TVEC 3 Missing Samples

I'll tell ya, Kirk is really making you work for that 75% discount, lol...anyway the TVEC 3 instruments in Diamond are listed on the files/database section of Kontakt 5, but when I try to load anything from TVEC 3, it states "1650 samples are missing" or something like that. So each time I load a patch, I have to manually do a search that points to the Diamond library on my hard drive. Now, why is this happening?

Well, I don't have that package...BUT...when that happens in Kontakt using ANY package try this:

Once you have successfully browsed to the "missing" files and the program/multi opens as it should then "save" or "save as" (either as itself or a new name if you prefer) ONLY SAVE THE PROGRAM ONLY...NOT "WITH SAMPLES"!!  That lets Kontakt remember where everything is and you shouldn't have to search again for the missing samples.  Be careful tho...Kontakts "save as" options are cryptic.

If you try to save WITH samples it will take FOREVER to save as it re-writes each individual sample.  Again, make sure of what you're doing before you click save/save as.

What Ol' Pal said. This is a pretty common occurance with third party sample libraries. Resaving the NKI file fixes it 99.9% of the time.

I think this has been discussed here and on KVR, has to do with the way the file structure is unzipped and the folder naming. Make sure your solo strings i and two have an underscore preceding the word solo make sure your folder is exactly like the structure listed in the documentation.

+1 on this!  I learned from my mistakes here.

I have tried this, and must warn you to save "patch" only and NOT "patch + samples" as yoropal correctly notes.  When I have (repeatedly) made the mistake of saving KH Diamond instruments as "patch + samples" I get a terrible static distortion on a several of the notes, but when I do as yoropal suggested and save "patch" only, everything is fine.  And it remembers where the samples are, even the ones it thought were "missing"!

Thanks yorolpal for a helpful tip here!  I have been pulling my hair out, what little is left, trying to get this "save as" thing to work with the missing samples, and your post reminded me to save without the samples.  Good one!
