Yeah... the bells were mostly silent on that one.

    The guitar was not.

A proper Christmas song like this one:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tb-Mce9VpmY

I was trying to imagine myself trying to play that, and although no bells I gave that up quickly.
It was smooth playing and sounded fine.

Rik, that was excellent, but let me ask you something- how many fingers do you have, because it sure sounds like maybe 12 or more to me.

Superb guitar playing. I'd sell my soul(well almost) to be able to play guitar as good as this. Excellent Rik.

I love this style of guitar playing - and the composition was great too.

I didn't hear the version without the bells... was it much different?

    Cheers,
    Terry.

The playing is even better and the sound is better. There is this noise here and there that makes it sound like an old LP. It sort of gives it character so I don't know that I would change that.

    Well done! again!

    Hi, Rik,

I'm listening to the new version with the bells, and your playing is fabulous, as always!  I really like the church bells both during the intro and at the end, I think they set the mood nicely and then also complete the piece.

    Wonderful work, my friend!

Hi Terry, thanks for listening,  the first version was recorded direct ,no mic, I didn't like the sound. This new one was recorded on a memo-recorder when I was practicing, liked the sound of it better even if it is a bit noisy in places. Probably should re-re-record it : )

Hi Robert , thanks for listening again, glad you don't mind the noise. : )

Hi Bob, thanks, glad you like it. To be honest the bells are mainly there to cover up the noise of cars passing by but they do set the mood nicely, special thanks go out to Paco de Lucia for profiding them ( Cueva del Gato from Almoraima) ; )

This seems to me to be a particularly beautiful lullaby. Which is perfectly appropriate. And the camel bells announce the Magi - what could be more seasonal than that?! As always, a beautiful composition, perfectly presented.

    Rik,

    You've don it again.

You've made my acoustics stay in their cases.

    Beautiful.

Hi Ed, no need for them to stay in their cases, come out and play : ).
