Anyone know about the Plex2 Synth?

Hi Gang...

I just installed Wolfgang Palm's Plex2 (Restructuring) synth (free) and I'm trying to understand it's workings. Has anyone else had a chance to check this thing out? It's not organzied in a method of synth I'm familiar with...

Here's the link:

Have fun!

no , but the UI looks very similar to something I've used at a studio in the past, that's buggin me now.

treat yaself to  synth1 if you haven't already got it.

but it's the free 3rd party presets that make the synth :)

It used to be marketed by Steinberg - and was pretty pricey at the time - http://www.soundonsound.c...cles/steinbergplex.asp There's a bit of information on it in the SOS article.

Watched videos here and here. What an interesting UI! Looks like fun, apparently designed to encourage stumbling around until you find an inspiring sound. But probably not where you'd go first to realize a specific tone you'd imagined in your head.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Thanks Gang...

I think I have synth1 (old) somewhere, but I don't see it in my current list so I'll grab a new copy ... Thanks Fog...

I'm on my way to check out the info... thanks Brando...

Thanks for the Vid links BF... I agree... It's fun dragging stuff around to see what emerges (with no idea what will turn up)... I wouldn't chose this (currently) for any designing... or even much tweaking as it's hard to find the adjustment I'm looking for...

I hope the info you've all provided gives me a little more to go on...

    Thanks...
