I would like to know myself. At the moment I assume it is digital.

Probably a remote encoder like the preamps, can't tell but if it also control the digi out, then it is probably a digital remote.

Betting on digital as the signal is still routed out the IO and the interface to the controller surely wouldn't have analog audio in it? Stranger things though...

    ASUS H270, i7-7700, JLM BA & 1290, LA2A Opto4, loads of guff.

i'm also sure this is digital but maybe not ...the thing then i want to know is that , if it is digital , then we gonna lose bit depth if we don't set it at max !! (witch i tend to do cause i have a monitoring device , SPL 2 control)  but just wanted to know ....

    Hey Zo

I'm pretty sure it's digital. I have a Mackie Big Knob and I use the volume control on it for composition and editing duty, but for mixing or anything gain critical I set it at unity (0 db on the SPL.. maybe?) and use the controls on the 700 for adjustment, everything seems correctly represented.

You sure do have some nice toys.
