Valhallaroom

Just wanted to post a recommendation for this great plug-in. I tried it based on the comments in these forums. Great, easy to learn controls, 32 and 64 bit, excellent presets and sounds fantastic........all for $50.

And $5 of that $50 purchase price goes to the Red Cross.

Another nice feature: user presets are stored as XML text, making it easy to share presets with others on forums or via email. A number of users have posted their own presets on KVR. When I discovered a bug in VRoom, I was able to post a preset that illustrated the problem on the support forum, and within a couple days Sean had put up a fix. I do enjoy supporting small developers.

Not to mention a 10% of that $50 going to charity and frequent free updates w/ new algorithms. Bought it last summer and there were 3 or 4 entirely new algorithms added since. For FREE! :)

I also bought it based on the strong recommendations of several forum members and am totally thrilled with it. Just an incredible value for $50. I love the interface also.

    For $50 I got it.

In a simple blind test (to someone else)

I took a basic plate reverb from Valhalla, UAD EMT 140 and UAD Lexi224 and applied it to a vocal track in a mix.

This one persons response was; "#1 and #3 were a little better than #2".

There you have it. Valhalla is as good as UAD's Lexi224 and both are better than my current goto Vox plate reverb.

Should I now spend the $299 sale price for the Lexi224?

    I'm thinking no.

    Thanks for this.

I just dropped the $50 on this too.  Good advice.  Good thread!  VahallaRoom is an impressive reverb well worth the money.

I imagine ValhallaRoom as a place upstairs from the village inn where mead-soaked Vikings take their tavern wenches for an hour or two of heaven.
