hi there folks 

is there a program to do vocalize 

i woud like to do backing vocal on my songs

    You can vocalize with Sonar-

    Just plug in a mic to a preamp that routes to the computer and configure the input in sonar on a track to except the signal where the mic comes from.

    Press record and vocalize in any background, harmonies, multiple tracks, etc, that you want.

    Melodyne Studio bundle will create harmonies, and there are several hardware solutions (like TC Helicon VoiceWorks Plus). You can create harmonies with V-Vocal (free with Sonar) or Melodyne Assistant by cloning the original vocal, moving the notes to new pitches, and then adjusting the formant accordingly, but it is a lot of work and will not sound as good as the options mentioned previously.
