New System

Anyone here using a Delta series PCI interface card in a Sandy Bridge Z68 setup? Ive read numerous threads in other forums complaining about PCI sound cards not working correctly in Sandy Bridge because the boards don't have native PCI support. I'd really like to upgrade my system and hang on to my Delta 1010LT but cannot find any info on which, if any, motherboards would be compatible.

Any suggestions?.

we have it working fine on P67
Z68 should not be any different.

the issue is/was with the PCI to PCIe bridge chipset

there are several manufacturers of this chipset so it can vary not only from board to board but what batch a board was made
i am guessing here but i think all of them now have it resolved..

FWIW, We've got numerous clients running Delta cards in SandyBridge DAWs.

Scott and Jim, thanks for the replies fellas. I'll probably take the plunge.

I do have one last question. Noting my current setup in my sig, would I benefit from an upgade to an i7-2600K in Sandy Bridge? I primarily use soft synths along with audio tracks and my track counts hardly ever exceed 20 or 25. My current gripe is the time it takes for bounces and mix downs. Would the upgrade improve this?

If you run the 2600k at 4.5GHz, you'll see a marked improvement.

Hi Scott/Jim . . . I'm running a Delta 1010LT, but looking to upgrade to a Sandy Bridge Z68 set up. Would love to know a motherboard or two that seem to work with Delta. Thank you!
