Music Creator 6 questions

So this is my first recording software period so Im new to this. Iv been playing around with the for about a solid day now and I cant seem to figure out how to create my own instruments. I do the synth thing and can then go to piano roll view and place marks into the squares but when i go to play it with my recording it will only play like one hi hat hit every measure when i have several different drum hits going on. Please help

    Welcome to the forum.
Which soft synth are you using, Studio Instrument Drums, or TTS-1? Or something else?
When you click on a piano key or drum name on the left, those are the sounds that are mapped to the synth you're using. If you click a key or drum name and there is no sound, well, there will be no sound when you play that note back.
Do all of the notes you enter make a sound when you click them in?
What operating system are you using? Are you using the computer sound card or do you have an audio interface designed for recording?
In MC 6, under Edit>Preferences, what is listed for Latency?

I had the same problem. I turned my latency down to 30 and it seems to be working ok. I have the same operating system you are you using. Give it a try....

when you hit play on the transport, and you have the PRV still open for that drum track, each note you entered should "light up" as the timeline crosses it and you should hear a hit - is that not happening?

also, when you enter a note on the PRV using the mouse, you should hear a hit then as well.  are you hearing that?

    Now... first... WELCOME....

You are aware that MC6 has complete samples and loops of various instruments in it that are simply drag and drop.....right?

I was amazed when I started to poke around in my new version of MC6 with all the song making tools that are in it that do not require you to set there and click one note at a time in PRV or staff view.

Have you taken the time to watch the tutorials and videos on MC6 and what it can do?

If not, I would advise that you do take the time to work the tuts and vids as it will save lots of time.

    Again...welcome.

I knew they had videos but this is more then what I expected to see. Excellent resource.
