This is very reto sounding, putting it somewhaere in the 70's for me.

The mix needs a lot of work for this track to give of it's best.

A lot of the sounds are muffled on my speakers and it's difficult to pick out individual sounds sometimes. You need to do some EQ-ing on the individual tracks to prevent the muddyness.

The track needs more variation to keep interest. It needs some sort of break or diversion to prevent it being one-dimensional.  It's sounding more like a jam than a finished track with direct objectives.

A remix is where i'd start first and when it sounds clearer and more dynamic, try and develop the track with more variations.

Sorry if i sound negative, but you have some interesting ideas that are'nt fully exploited yet and this could sound a whole lot better with more work put into it.

Yeah it's all a lerning curve and we've all been there at some time.   I've been doing this for about six years now and i'm still no where near satisfied with my mixes and production.  The frustration of that drives me up the wall some times. :-)

Just stick at it and you'll gradually see things fall into place and then you'll really start to produce the sort of work you've always wanted to.

Good luck and most of all, just have fun. :-)

Removed my link here.  I just wanted to show Bruce my idea, not hijack the thread.

It's in Rock N Roll category. Does not seem like Rock and Roll to me.

IMO it's needs a real strong melody on top of it. what you have (in that low melody) sounds like a counter melody. Something with at least some 8th notes to break up the monotony.

    It's a good start though.

Auto5starz, Thanks for sharing your musical journey you have a lot of things going on here. In building and releasing tension I would like to NOT hear some parts at certain times so...If you start with full melodies than drop out some out some after you made your statement for a short period of time...let people soak in the lesser and than enter into your full arrangement. Nice work for 8 months..Keep it up!
