best set of Mackie active 8's for around $500?

     Need to buy a pair of 8"s active monitors. Been mainly dwelling on Bx8's and rokit 8's but people keep telling me for clarity to look into Mackies. Im looking to spend around half a grand. could go up about 100 but would prefere not to if i dont have to.
