Volume Control - Individual Clip

I understand how to add volume automation for an entire audio track.  But is there a way to automate the volume for an individual clip on an audio track?

yes, it's called clip gain.  and how you get to it depends on which version of MC you have and I've forgotten which version you have.  you should put that and your computer and soundcard specs in your signature.

if you have MC5 and below, right click on the clip and choose ENVELOPES>CREATE CLIP ENVELOPE>GAIN

if you have MC6, highlight the clip, then in the properties of the track, pull down the menu where it normally says "CLIPS" and choose CLIP AUTOMATION>GAIN

Beagle, for the record, I am using MC6, sorry for that omission.  And a thousand thanks for your clear and concise assistance.  I'm another step closer to proficiency:-)

If you are wanting to change the volume on a specific part of a track..... use the nodes to isolate a part of the envelope...... two nodes before and 2 nodes after the clip..... zoom in and you can place them very close together and with surgical precision. Then simply click the middle most section of the new nodes and drag it up or down.

Note: I rarely use the gain in a track to do anything. It's all in the volume envelope.
