Roland R-05

I got this for a Christmas present from my wife. Just had a chance today to do some recording/downloading with it. Wanted to post a small review.

I was expecting good quality. That's what I expect when I buy Roland/Boss products. But this thing exceeded all my expectations! I mean the recordings I made with it sounded great. I got the mic adapter (a must have), did some feild recordings, recorded my wife singing acapella, and me play/singing with my acoustic guitar.

I then transferred to X1 @24/96 and when I listened back I was stunned! I mean it sounded great!! I couldn't have done better with my 4040/Tubepre combo!! This thing did an excellent job.

I highly recommend it.

If this thing sounds this good, imagine what the new R-26 ($500) could do?
