Good Morning Babies (2012)

Hey,

This is my first tune for 2012.  My 1 and 5 year old little girls greeted me a big good morning as this project was forming, hence the name.

    pretty cool, Donny!

that sidestick is a little too hot in the mix, IMO.  nice piano playing and decent sound.  what sound do you use for the piano?  it works nice in the mix.  this is very nice!

Yet, another beautiful song from you.  I agree with Beagle that the side stick is a bit loud, but if you added another instrument or a vocal, it probably would balance out quite nicely.  Perhaps a little counterpoint is in order here.

    All the best,

Thanks for the listen, comments and compliments.  Agreed on the stick and counterpoint...I'm letting that marinade a little.

Yeah, the stick is a little loud, but it's a beautiful melody and well played.  :)

There's nothing like your own young ones that steal your heart away. I think I'll be a little sad when my 10 year old stops calling me daddy.

    Great work! Very well done!

Echoing the sidestick being to hot.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

    Very nice Don.

The bass guitar sounds weird played against that particular kick. I would try a more open/ringing kick sound.

    Overall great job.

Pretty tune Don, very nice. Drums are a bit robotic though, I'd maybe loosen them up a bit.
