Alesis multimix 8 USB 2.0 device outputs

I am using Alesis multimix 8 USB 2.0 with Sonar X1 Producer. I have 2 options in Output Drivers window: 1. Alesis USB audio device OUT_LEFT and 2.ASIO4ALL v2 Not Connected 1. The asio4all is gray and I'm unable to select it. I am able to hear playback and monitor everything fine but why is Alisis OUT_LEFT only? and I downloaded asio4all to help with really bad latency issues not sure what to do hear.

it's not really.  ASIO reports devices in a manner similar to this:

    ASIO4ALL v2 1 L
    ASIO4ALL v2 1 R
    ASIO4ALL v2 1 Stereo

    choose the stereo one.

Are there no proper drivers for the Alesis? You should always try and use the manufactures ASIO drivers. ASIO4all is a band-aid solution when there are no drivers ( that work)

no.  they reliy on the WINDOWS USB CODEC.  I was the one who advised him to install ASIO4ALL because of that.

the firewire version of the alesis has proprietary drivers, but even those are not very stable for that system.
