Addictive Drums

Hello, I have the addictive drums software on MC6. I can't get sound. The drums light up when I click. But no sound. Help anyone?

Do you know how to use soft synths in general, ie. is there something specific, or is it just that you don't know how to use MC? Have you read about inserting soft synths and can you play other soft synths?

    How have you inserted AD?

Yes, I am very familiar with soft synths. I use ezdrummer also and that plays fine. AD worked for a couple days then stopped getting sound. I even tried the demo, no luck. I am using an HP Pavilion g6. Got it in june, 4gb ram, 2.3 ghz. I think it has an intel sound card.

On a lappy..... and even desk top (off the shelf) computers.... all have the "soundcard" built into the MOBO these days.

Those cards are not prime for recording and playback of multi-track stuff like we do.

Sometimes they will work OK for awhile and then stop working, other times they don't work well from the git go.

The best option is almost always to get an external interface from M-Audio or Focusrite of one of the other pro audio sound card manufacturers. They do work well and make recording a real pleasure.

There is almost always a thread here in MC on the first or second page where help getting a factory card working is being dispensed.

just to clarify - you can insert EZD into the same project as AD and EZD will play but AD won't?

have you used AD in a previous project?  if so, open it and try playing it there.

what is curious and confusing is that you said the drum piece will "light up" when clicked - indicating that a kit sample is loaded, but you can't hear it, so it would seem to be a problem with audio output only.
