It's a great tool to have if you (like we do) have to ship different files to different clients for different usages. But I don't use one and have never had a "loudness" based complaint.

These new metering plugins are in response to new and pending legislation in the EU, where loudness standards are being implemented for broadcasting. For the rest of us, good ol' SPAN set to Mastering mode and K-x metering should be adequate for judging loudness. I certainly have no desire to buy a $300 loudness meter.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

bitflipper I certainly have no desire to buy a $300 loudness meter. The average consumer is not as discriminating as you Bit.... The companies know that if they make any old rubbish, package it well and put a great spin on it,that many people will buy it without any real consideration... I laugh when I think about how much unnecessary crap we buy in the virtual world...... There's a lot to be said for minimalism
Sorry - I don't use Autotune :)

Somebody told me I was playing too loud one time..... at least that's what I think he was yelling about.... I couldn't hear him. But he looked really mad about something.... I turned it up a few more clicks..... and kept playing.
