Wow! Amazing deal!!

Thats a good price..... but I still would not have one of those if you gave it to me.

I'm spoiled with all the toys I have right in the box. 

Actually I had one like it..... bought it on Ebay, and never really liked it. I sold it for what I bought it for when I got MC4 and a lappy. 

Good riddance to it I say. But, don't let my prejudice of them sway you if that's what you want. 

If you want to work totally in audio mode it's fine. 

Try using synth drums in it...or any synth for that matter..... it can not handle plug in VST's. 

I really did try to work with the unit I had but editing and adding drums was such a pain that it was not worth it. 

While the initial set up to get Cakewalk working..... computer, software, interface,  was more money, it was a worthwhile investment for the ability I gained. 

If I was ever forced to go back to a unit like you describe, I would either have to stop recording altogether or simply do acoustic music.
