Cakewalk Sound Center problems in MC6

So when I try to get the Cakewalk Sound Center in Music Creator 6 to play a MIDI file I've imported, the playback isn't metrically even and it seems like the notes are sort of coming out at random times. I've tried freezing an audio track to the MIDI track and the bounce to audio command but both yield the same result, am I going about using the CSC wrong?

I'm using a Line 6 POD HD as the default input/output sound device, according to Line 6 it should be able to handle stuff like this.

which driver mode are you using and what is your latency set to?

"P" for preferences, then go to device drivers

if you're using WDM, try ASIO and then make sure and pull up the LINE 6 software and find the HARDWARE BUFFERS and decrease them to about 256 or lower

Also note: If you import a MIDI-file, it's automatically adjusted to the project tempo. If you OPEN a MIDI track,  it's opened with it's original tempo.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
