How do I copy tracks so they're not locked together?

I cloned a TTS-1 Piano track to make a copy of it and the two tracks are locked together - if I mute one, they both mute. If I solo one, they both solo. How can I make the tracks independent of each other? Is there another way to copy a track?

I'm guessing there is a setting somewhere to unlock them... I never noticed that sort of behavior.

Yes... you can highlight the track and copy it's contents.....clips and then paste those clips into a new track.

Also since it is TTS and midi..... you can use the BOUNCE TO TRACK feature to render the AUDIO output to a new track as a wave file. It's an exact replica but it's a wave and no longer midi with a synth output. It is not connected in any way to the original TTS track.

Try deselecting the box 'Clone Properties' in the clone dialog box.
Or drag-copy the track by holding down the computer keyboard's Ctrl key while dragging the clip to a new MIDI track.
And make sure the clone/copy is using a different MIDI channel.

Thanks for the responses. I can't find a way to unlock the tracks. Copying clips had problems too - I couldn't move the clips in either track. So I started a new project with just MIDI tracks, and that seems to work fine. The tracks are independent of each other, I can copy and move clips, it all seems to work as it's supposed to. That's what I'll do from now on. Thanks again. - Stuart
