Does anyone know anything about this backup/disk clone/restore utility program...??

It offers backup, disk clone, and recovery of an accidentally reformatted hard drive, which I need. Is anyone familiar with it? It is the Golden package... http://www.spotmau.com/products/package/full.html

Thanks,

Jbow

Never heard of this until now.  I use the very popular Acronis True Image.

I am not aware that Acronis TrueImage will recover an accidentally formatted drive. The people who make Easeus ToDo Backup (that will clone a drive and has a free version) also offer a free recovery program:
http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm I have never personally used it.

Testdisk (also free) can also do the job, but it is not a very intuitive interface.

Presumably any prgram that can recognize and recover master file (NTFS) or file allocation (FAT)  tables will work if the problem is just a simple format (the type that can be done by the OS) and nothing else has been written to the disk since the format was done.

Windows 7 will image the partitions without using an external imaging program, although it is less flexible than some of the other software.

    Never heard of this either.
Nice to have in one package but Easeus, Acronis, Recuva, and a few others do the same thing cheaper. You can make an easy boot disk just using windows 7. John

This is the good backup software. it will optimise the performance of your computer. If your drive is crashed due to some reason then this software will automatically repair the bugs. If you have lost your data and password than you can easily recover them.
