Wich AdPack(s) with Adddictive Drums?

Wich AdPack(s) with Adddictive Drums?

 I'm going to buy Addicitve Drums at the end of this week,the price right and it comes with freebies.I can't decide wich AdPack(s) to get.My first instinct is to get the Retro pack but,the Jazz Sticks and Funk packs have me curious.I don't play jazz or funk but,both kits come realy close to some of my favorite blues and rock drum sounds.I wonder what if I could get a good rock drum sound out of the Jazz Sticks kit(Premier Gen X) and if I can get a decent hard rock/metal sound out of the funk kit(Pearl Reference series).I'm still leaning toward the Retro pack but,a good example of the jazz and funk kits being used outside of what they're intended for could change my mind.My musical background is rock,blues and metal.Has anybody used the Jazz Sticks or Funk AdPacks?What are your inpressions?

    The Retro and funk paks have a more old school "tape" vibe to them.  The jazz ones are crisp and "up close" sounding. 
     
    You should be pretty well covered on modern type sounds with the default pop kits (Listen to the demos if you haven't already), so unless you specifically want a crisp jazzy sound, I'd go for the Retro or Funk now, then grab the others later. 
     
    Fortunately the paks are only $59, so they won't break the bank.

    Until the end of January Addictive drums is $149 and you get 2 adpacks or the Retro adpack for free.I think I'm gonna get the Retro pack for now and get the others later.
