Looks like its just another way to entice you to upgrade to Kontakt 5 as these "new upgrades" only play in it or the free Kontakt 5 Player.

I have been playing with them for a while and I like the grooves!
Just installed it and started goofing around. Got one of the jazz grooves going and was having fun. Now....is there any way to take all my GrooveMonkee grooves and have them recognized by this software? I see that you can change the default mappings to look like Superior Drummer or EZDrummer which is way cool! Any ideas? That would be killer cause the kits in this package do sound really nice. Still HATE HATE HATE the Kontakt output mapping stuff. I NEVER get it right. Ughhhh. Ken

The claim from NI is that K5 is required. Apparently this is NI's new marketing strategy. I can't say for sure about the grooves. I have K5. I just want to be able to use my GrooveMonkee grooves with this. Ken

I'm sure it is. I recently bought the new Project Sam Orchestral Essentials & it only works in K5. I expect all new releases will be this way. Also be careful if you use K5 with other libraries, mine were converted to K5 versions. In my case I opened older save presets & multis in v4, saved them again in order to have them available for both K4, K5.

I have both 60's (that came with Komplete) and 70's. I got the S/N e-mail for the 70's one on 1/18 and didn't get the 60's e-mail until 1/19, which I thought was odd (and concerned me at first), so maybe wait another day or two and see.

Are you installing over the old Library in a new location?
According to my email, it does not overwrite the existing libraries. I did create a new folder, thought, and sure enough the new Abbey road drums show up along side the existing ones in my K5.

Session Drummer and this new Abbey Road Drummer depend on the new features of Kontakt 5 to play the grooves. That IMHO is fair enough, It the updating of the older libraries that do not need K5 unless you want to use Maschine that gets me.
