Sale ends Friday Jan 25th 2012? What am I missing here? Yeah they're definitely worth $31 but I'm trying to keep my plug-in list short. And since I already have a plug-in equal to or better than everything offered, I think I'm gonna pass. Thanks for the heads up. Mike

From what I've seen/heard not many people know 'cos having parted with their $$ they have yet to actually receive anything.

25th of january is wednesday, not friday. Is it real or a scam? Quite a big mistake hanging there still...one might think someone had noticed it and corrected.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Crysonic is indeed real and here is my short synopsis of them and their plugs. A few years ago...when they could and did ask the kind of prices they did (don't know how many folks bought them then) they also had almost zero customer support and a fairly bad customer attitude as well. Just the thing to build your company. Finally...as their plugs were only OK mostly...folks just quit patronizing them. Then they woke up and smelled the coffee. They started a new tack of literally "giving" their plugs away and promising a new "customer friendly" company. But when you are desparately trying to sell your entire plug in line for 20 or 30 bucks when it's retail is more like $1000, you can't be taken too seriously. I bought the entire line up for about $50 bucks when they first started these "no-brainer" thingys a year or so ago. My take on the plugs...meh. Their new limiter is quite nice but has some limitations (no pun intended). If you need some OK plugs $30 bucks is a fair price for these. But I'd be afraid of how much longer these guys are gonna be around. YMMV. Oh yea...if you do buy them don't be alarmed when your PayPal says you're paying a guy in the middle east somewhere named Tayfun Topku...even though the company is Austrailian. He's actually the guy. Go figure.

My experience is much like Yoropal, except I don't remember having bad customer support - but it was a LONG time ago. Whilst the plug ins were OK, I found them a little unstable - I'm sure that element has improved - I did get a free upgrade to one of the more modern plug ins - can't remember which one as when I went 64bit I didn't bother re-installing any Crysonic stuff - the free plug in was OK stability wise and to be fair to them, was not a bad plug in I think - all a bit hazy now - obviously more than two weeks ago!! For $30 or so, they're OK if you don't have other stuff - from the emails the new plug ins do look pretty - what they sound like is anyone's guess and I suppose I would also like to know what they are like now, even though I own them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Better hope it works. They want to fight anyone who asks for help. Literally. They'll come around to your house and want a bare-knuckle fight. Personally, I wouldn't give them any money.

Wasn't there a forum member named Crysonic that used to hang around here pretty much every day? I remember he had some sort of blue avatar and was quite a nice, helpful chap. I wonder if there's any connection between the two or if it's just coincidence. Mike

Hmmmm. Not sure. It was something along those lines. There used to be a way with the old forum software to search through members but I don't know where or how to do that anymore. Mike

They have a very bad reputation at KVR for any number of reasons. There are a number of legendary threads at KVR including one where the company rep threatens a customer who was pointing out some inconvenient truths. I would never send them any money. Plus, these days, you may or may not get anything for the money. Recently, they got preorders (or something like that) for a plugin that was "ready to release." It's been months and it still hasn't been released to some who've already paid for it. The pattern is: (1) legitimate complaint against Cryosonic, (2) many customers with the same problem come forward, (3) they issue some apology (and blame their problems on their detractors), (4) send a few links out, and (5) go back to their old ways. Anyway, the saga is long and ridiculous, but with all I've read about them, I wouldn't send them a dime. I can't tell if they're really that incompetent or if they're really good scam artists. Hey, if a lot of people send you $30, you can still make a lot of money. Here's a recent KVR thread where a number of folks are filing paypal grievances, and reporting them to consumer bureaus: KVR Thread Just trying to save you some money (and 5,000 spam emails that you'll undoubtedly get). EDIT: fixed formatting and the link

For completeness sake, I'd also like to point out that 99% off of $1,049 is $10.49....not $31. So, math is not their strong suit.

I think I bought 2 of no brainer deal plugs. One was Nxtasy spectral enhancer. I can't remember if it was unstable or it just didn't do anything for my use. The other was BV 4? sub bass enhancer, I had it for over a year and finally tried it the other day.....sounded very good I must say. I might try digging the other one out and give it a go again. GUI's look like a comic books to me, but whatever if it works.

I don't see how anyone would seriously consider doing business with this company considering their apparently long track record of non-performance. The math calculation was pretty funny! Ken
