Cyclone not velocity sensitive

Using Cyclone for the first time. Loaded a few wav's to a pad each and have noticed they're not responding to midi velocity.
Is this just Cyclone or is it always the case when triggering wav's.
Is there any way around this - ie a different approach such as loading other than wav's.
