Sorry Mike, I don't always visit every forum and didn't intend to ignore you.

The stuff Edcor makes is just top notch. They use great materials and I feel they rival Mercury for quality. The catch is that you have to know what you want. They don't offer replacement parts for specific amps and they generally don't make lay down type transformers. You have to know the taps you need, the current required in each winding and the voltages.

They have lots of stuff in the product line and if you are building your own designs it's easy to find what you need. If they don't have it they will charge a very reasonable design fee and build exactly what you request. I started off with Hammond but was not happy with the performance of the transformers. The Edcor stuff has been great. No heating issues, no vibration or mechanical noise and they are nicely finished.

If you want to build your brand they offer unpainted endbells for a few bucks that can be finished with your colors or logo. I guess you can call me a fanbouy.

I can send you a pic showing the difference between Edcor, Hammond and Fender for the same part. You wouldn't think they are for the same application.

    Regards, John
