are you saying you purchased the full package of studio instruments?

if so, run the installation, then you need to scan for them.  but you didn't say which version of MC you're using, so it's not the same for different versions.

Even if the studio instruments package puts the DLL's in the Cakewalk VST folder, you need to rescan it.

Do this manually from the Cakewalk Plugin Manager.  You can also add the DLL's to the scan list if they are in a different folder  by using the plug in manager and adding them to the scan list...then rescan.

First of all...look in the Cake VST folder and see if the DLL's are there for SI.

Sorry for the lack of information  and thanks for the replies!

BEAGLE: I didn't purchase anything they are on a PC I got second-hand. They are not installed. It's Music Creator 4.2.2 and Studio Instruments 1.0.

GUITARHACKER: The DLLs are not in the VST folder. In the Studio Instruments folder they are four icons of the different instruments. All it says in their properties for file type is 'Application'.

Thanks againg for your time lads! Is there anything further before I try what you said?

    Regards, John.

SI may not be installed if the former user of this second-hand computer was a responsible person who read the Terms of Service and removed the program before passing the computer on. Was MC 4 also already on the computer, or did you buy that program?

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes MC was there too. Neither are installed. Both are there in folders as if downloaded.

BTW, Does anyone know if SI works with Sonar Producer?

    Regards, John.

Sure it will work with SONAR. Just about any VST will work.
