AT has given you good advice. If you're investing in this level of converter, a better interface is the way to go. You need to take into consideration that Lynx, RME, Apogee, SSL, etc. are in the business of creating AD/DA and interfaces for recording. Thus they provide excellent drivers that will work with Sonar or whatever DAW you use. I personally use dedicated converters as well, and the RME RayDAT PCIe card has been great. The drivers and extras are great too.
