This has a very live - bluegrass festival - feel. At least, this is what I would expect to hear, here in Lawrence KS....Very cool.  Loved the harmonies.

Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the listen.  May I ask what kind of place you play at once a week?  The live group Jan & Ted I gig with are going to learn this song and Jan (female vocalist) will do her rendition of it.  I am looking forward to that.

Rimshot,

I was playing between 2 to 4 nights a week regularly w a few local groups since June up until recently when I decided to put the brakes on being in bars and clubs so much

a big reason why I haven't been around this forum  for a while

I'm just outside of Portland OR in South West Washington , this area has somewhat of a thriving local music scene .

a local band of three long time members hosts a music night on the same night every week
at a club that has a full sized stage w lights . the place it self can hold up to about 250 people
25+ to maybe 50+  is about the amount of folks that usually show up  for on off night

i show up as a featured guest and play an hour long set with house band as a member for this night
this is the set that kicks the night off

i really enjoy playing w these musicians . we do mostly  Classic  Rock , Blues and Country
not as covers , but as a vehicle to play songs that people can relate too as we burn
the guitarist sings , he is an excellent guitar player all styles lead and rhythm  ,
he respects me , I respect him  . we never step on each others toes and we feature lots of guitar solos lol
I love playing w him
the other members are a solid bass player and solid drummer . both good players
after our set ,
other full self contained bands might come up on the stage to do a set or some of the jammers will put together a group  so they can get to play
anybody who wants to play will get to play
a good time is had by all usually & it's all pretty much low pressure situation

have a good one it has been nice talking with you

Kenny

Oh Yeah , Life is Good .
The internet is nothing more than a glorified real time cartoon we all star in.
I play a "Gibson " R 8 Les Paul Cherry Sunburst .
The Love of my Life is an American Bulldog Named Duke . I'm currently running Cakewalk By BandLab as my DAW .

Hi Kenny,
Thanks for the note.  It is amazing how many things us musicians have in common.  Whether it be song writing, playing gigs, recording, producing, or engineering, when you describe what you have been doing, I am right there and can relate 100%.
Look forward to hearing more of your music.

Jim

I enjoyed it :-) I might bring the chick vocals down a bit.

All you need is love, just ask the Beatles?

Juliana is no "chick", she is a first class lady, IMO.

Hi, Jimmy,
Dynamite job on this excellent smooth rolling blues number!  You, Ed, Jason and Julianna all did a killer job on this, and the mix sounds perfect for the genre.
Really nice work, Jimmy!
