Sonar X1 Producer + 64bit Windows 7 = distorted/delayed sounds

Hoping someone can help me out with an issue I'm having with my new laptop and compatibility with X1. Brian at Stone House Studios helped me learn that my KB37 was not compatible, so I'm on to the next set of issues. I'm really hoping at this point it's simply a matter of configuration. I'm getting a subtle distorted/clipped out sound when I use Session Drummer and a REALLY distorted/clipped out sound when I run my guitar through a Pocket Pod direct through the laptop's mic input. BUT, when I tried to export a wav file as an example of the issue it sounded perfect!

Here's how I have my preferences set.
Driver Settings:
Playback Timing Master: Dock HpOut[WaveRT]
Record Timing Master: MicIn [WaveRT]
Audio Driver Bit Depth: 24 (64-bit Double Precision Machine selected)
Sampling Rate: 44100

Playback & Recording:
Driver Mode: WDM/KS
Dithering: Triangular Selected -> Use Multiprocessing Engine and Use MMCSS (Windows Vista - Win 7)

I believe that's the relevant info. Sure hope someone can help guide me to awesomeness that this program is. I'm just upgrading from Sonar 8 and as you can imagine can't wait to get this going, it's so much of an improvement.
Thanks in advance!

Well - I see you are using the Dock HpOut as output sound "card"? If so - then there is the problem. This card just can't keep up with Sonar and starts to sound distorted. This card does not have to do all that hard processing when it is just playing an wav file, so it sounds better. Bottom line - get a better sound card (using a laptop I suggest at least an reasonable decent USB card - M-audio, Roland and E-Mu have some cheap but decent cards).

Line 6 KB 37 works perfectly with WIN 7/64. Just use Line 6 Monkey to get the latest drivers and in SONAR switch from WDM to ASIO.

Yes, and no problems with ASIO and WASAPI. WDM does not work, though.

Thanks Tommy! I'm buying a Roland Quad Capture and with any luck I'll be able to run the KB37 through that.

I had the same problem. Go to Edit - Preferences - Playback and recording
Change Driver Mode to MME 32 bit - Apply

Line 6 KB 37 works perfectly with WIN 7/64.

I believe that the audio interface incorporated into the KB37 is identical to the TonePort UX2, which works fine in W7-64.
