Update Questions

First off, I am excited that the VS system will be deeply integrated soon and look forward to moving from 8.5 to X1. In the meantime I am keeping with 8.5 as I am finishing my band's demo and don't want to change too much too quick until it is finished. Then Sonar X1 it is.
 
In the meantime, as my older computer was having trouble keeping up with all the audio, I just bought a new computer and am reinstalling sonar from scratch, starting with the discs that came with my VS-700. I am up to date on 8.5.3 but skipped 8.3.1 between 8.0 and 8.5 and now see off the steps to upload the VS software that 8.3.1 was supposedly crucial. However Sonar is running. 64 bit asked me alot of ARX questions but it seems fine. But now I am paranoid. Is there something wacky about not having the 8.3.1 between 8.0 and 8.5? As I haven't installed the VS stuff yet I haven't checked anything in depth. Also, I am not looking forward to reinstalling all the VS drivers, especially since one firmware has already been done, but I'll guess I'll get through it, fingers crossed. The 8.3.1 thing is bothering me though. Any thoughts?
