    Welcome to the Songs Forum.

This could be a really pleasant tune if the vocals were not so compressed.

Needs a softer approach to the vocal performance IMO.

I think Ed's on to something there, but this is really nice.  I'm not a big fan of the synth at 1:10. Really like the change up at 1:39.  Nice job!

This is a good song in search of a mix.  I agree that the vocal sounds over compressed.  It lacks roundness or 3 dimensionality.  You can compress a vocal and still make it breathe, you just need to experiment a bit.  That can go for some of the other elements of your song such as the drums.  Yet, this song has plenty of potential.  I like the way the strings come in, and your choice of strings sounds right on.  The song has a nice melody, and it conveys your feelings well.  You are oh, so close.

    All the best,
    Lynn

I like the construction of the piece.  The final mix and getting everything to sit well together is the only area that might get a little more attention.

Keep writing more tunes like this.  It has room in the market.

Welcome to the forum.  You have some very good elelments in this very good song.  I can't tell about the compressed vocals because I don't know what that sounds like.  Mark mixes all of my vocals and does the effects.  This is a very easy song to listen to and the mix isn't far off, from this end.  I think it would have sounded better without the synths, maybe.  Don't get me wrong, they sound good but the guitar perc and vocal parts were sweet.

    Howdy.

This is really nice. I do agree that the vocals sound a bit over-compressed. But, that said, the music is really good and the vocalist has a beautiful voice.

    I love this.
