Erratic Neuroticism ...GO!!

Hey, everyone!

Beings I got such a warm welcome during my first visit to the Cakewalk forums, I've decided to make this place my first stop for constructive criticism on my new songs.

This one's a dance track entitled "Erratic Neuroticism ...GO!!"  I've been working on it over the last few days and I feel like it's just about done.

Check it out over on my SoundClick:   http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1231675&songID=11418319

I appreciate constructive criticism, advice, and any other comments you'd be willing to offer.

:D

Sounds pretty darn good to me Tyson, nice start! Quite a lot of interest and change-ups for a dance tune, I enjoyed it.

    Hi Tyson,
I like the theme.  The stereo pad that is playing offbeat 8th notes makes me very uncomfortable to listen to.  Maybe using is sparingly?  Like the concept alot.

    Hey Tyson.

I see you found the place.

    Pretty good mix there.

Gotta agree with Rimshot about that pad. It's off putting.

Other than that, sounds really good.

This is a pleasant surprise.  Each time I thought that the song was going to bog down it changed direction and held my interest.  The mix sounds well balanced on my system, with lots of energy.  Your synth pad doesn't bother me, in fact, I think it gives it the throbbing element that is needed for this type of song.  Songs that breathe are not that easy to make.  Good job.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks for the comments, guys!  Glad you liked it.

Hm...  Seems to be some controversy over the ducked pad, though...  See, I actually worked for several hours trying to get this effect in Cakewalk (because the routing system isn't great).  Haha, I was very satisfied when I finally got it do what it's doing xD
