Well, I really don't know but heard things that soft synths lag behind. The rest is using ASIO drivers with the audio/interface (not Realtex). Should however be able to line up the music if that does occur. You can not get rid of latency, no matter what. You can come close to having very little (the electronics supposedly have 3ms no matter what in the audio interface, and the rest is the way the computer runs - 14ms for MacIntoshes, 48 samples or 64 samples or so for PC computers). No way around it, except that ASIO drivers allow for the latency and put everything on the same beat, except perhaps for soft synths that work into wave files or something like that on the fly. There you need a fast computer because of using more CPU power for that process. I do not use it as if yet, but all I can do is go by what I have heard. Maybesome else knows more and perhaps reviewing some other forums may help (equipment manufacturers forums). That all I can say.
