Sonar X1C PE Won't Load Project- Crashes to Blue Screen

Folks - I could REALLY use your help. This is the second time this has happened to me. I'm working in Sonar X1c PE  (32bt) on a project for weeks. I'm finishing up my final tweaks today and decided to throw V-Vocal on small 3 second part of a vocal track. I went and saved my project as normal.  Now upon opening my project- the project attempts to load (longer than normal) then proceeds to crash at a blue screen Stop Error 0X00000076- and the computer is done.

I've saved and opened this project over 40 times without issue. I just noticed this NOW after adding V-VOCAL and I'm wondering if THIS is what did it for me. I've had this issue happen once before on another project. There is nothing I can do to get the project to open again in Sonar X1c PE 32- but I was able to open that project up in the 64 bit environment. I'm assuming this one will open there as well.  I was thinking that somehow my Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 driver might be causing the issue, but I tried to the load the project with the device off and still got that same error so I know it's not that.  I have a feeling it's VVOCAL because that is the ONLY thing I changed in this project between saves.  I've done a X86 mem test- all is fine.  Other projects open/close without issue.  This is the second time I've been burned with this issue and I don't know how to fix it?

If anyone has any thoughts, PLEASE share them!!

EDIT: I was able to open this project in Sonar X1c x64 without the crash. So the question is WHY does this project create a blue screen crash when loading in 32bit, but opens fine in 64bit?

Have you tried to open it in safe mode? Hold the shift key while opening that should work.

Thanks for the tip FBB! Well, that works so long as I choose to disable all plugins.  So the issue creating the blue screen is with one of the plugins. I selected the option to disable V-Vocal- and keeping all others active, and that didn't work. I still got the blue screen, so the issue is with one of the other plugins, which is odd seeing as how I didn't recently add the other plugins since the last save/open.  Well this at least gives me a starting point.  Learned something new today. THANK YOU!

Well thanks to Fast Biker Boy's tip of the week, I was FINALLY able to figure out what was causing the blue screen crash.

Wouldn't you know it- it's the Vocal Strip that comes with Sonar.  I went through painstakingly turning off each plug in in safe mode till I got the project to boot without blue screen crash.  At first I disabled both instances of the Vocal STrip I had active, but what I've found is that it only crashes when BOTH are enabled upon project boot. Weird.  I've turned one on, disabled the other - BOOT. Switched them up - BOOT.  Keep them BOTH on and BLUE SCREEN crash every time.

I'm happy to know what is causing this issue so that I can continue to work this track- but let's hope CW is all over this stuff.

Thanks again for FBB's help on this one!

No worries. Glad you've got it sorted out. Seems strange, I quite often have several instances of the VX strip running. At least I'll know where to look if I get problems so you may have helped me in advance.

See - told you so. Less than 12 hours after you post what caused your problem and I have a similar issue, although I wasn't getting a blue screen but a crash to desktop. I had a project with 5 instances of the VX strip running.

Started in safe mode and just denied each instance of the VX strip. Loaded straight up so thanks for saving me a load of time.
