Console <Ctl> and <Shft> Keys

Greetings!

As I get more used to using the VS700-C, I find myself using the PC keyboard less and less -- now mostly just for entering track names and recording notes.  However, there are two exceptions:

Many routine functions on the 700-C still require the user to click and hold either the Shift, Ctrl or Alt key on the keyboard.  The corresponding keys on the 700-C do not work.

I remember some discussion about this a while back on this forum, but having just updated all firmware and drivers on the 700s, I'm surprised that this hasn't been fixed.

Is there a workaround (other than using the PC keyboard)?  Do you think Cakewalk will ever make this work?

It's not a bug, the keys aren't meant to do the same things. For what it's worth, I think they should have given them their own unique names, it's a bit confusing as it is.

Yeah misleading due to the keyboard relationship for sure... it's ok in the context of the surface only but we are certainly used to thinking in terms of keyboards. The ability to reassign all buttons to personal preference is the ultimate solution. Cheers.
