Boffo performance.  I'm not getting good seperation on the instruments, may  need to eq the guitars and bass a little.

The mic sounds good, I almost bought a Majave tube last month, but opted for the Miktek C7.  The mic sounds good.

I think I would play with some mix options on the master, I can't quite put my finger on it, buy maybe some of the folks here with a better ear might offer some suggestions.  Just my thoughts.

I love the Beatles - I think you did great on this - very entertaining.

Super.  The mix sounded good on my speakers, and the performances were spot on.  The panning issue is a matter of taste, although, I've noticed recently that many people seem to forget that we're in stereo these days.  Still, good job.

Today, I went looking for the issue Daryl had spotted and I think I may have found it!   It was in the rhythm guitar panning and it is now straightened out.   It sounds much better to me now.

Yeah, the bass is defiantly the one that stands out as being closest in terms of sound.
Was it a Hofner per chance?
Listening to the original I'd say your version sounded better but of course they didn't have sonar and as distinctive as their sound was, they wouldn't sound like that if they recorded those songs today.

Lennon's voice is damned hard one to beat though :)

One of my favorite Beatles tracks and if I remember one of Lennon's.

It doesn't really add anything to The Beatles but great playing.  The mix could be improved a little.

I like the old Beatles tunes.  Nice job on the cover of this song.   The vox sound really nice with the doubling.

I might be wrong...or maybe I'm hearing things but around 45 sec I start to hear a popping or clicking that goes on for a time.  I've heard what I thought were clicks in some of my songs and after soloing the tracks looking for the source it turns out to be instrument noise.....and then it's a matter of figuring out how to get it gone. 

I love the cover.  Good job.  One of the cool things about the Beatles was their ability to write a great song and get it done in under 2:30 seconds.... this one came in at 2 min.....excellent!

Thank you so much for your positive reviews.   We tried really hard on this one to make it come alive.   When others, like yourselves enjoy it, it makes all the effort into making it, worth it!! 

Herb, the 'clicks' you hear are my recorded handclaps that are exactly to the original recording, I just didn't want them to be too upfront in the mix.  Maybe I should increase their level a bit to make more obvious that they are intentional.

I think I'm going to reduce the level of the bass 1 more dB, which will make the drum kit seem more apparent.
