Need help setting up my Cakewalk to recognize my new Mackie 820i

Hello All, I just bought a new Mackie Onyx 820i and need some help getting all the channels to be recognized in Cakewalk Sonar 8. I have the firewire hooked up, and have assigned the Cakewalk to operate with the Mackie ASIO drivers, so that seems to be set up right. The problem is that I seem to only have the option to assign channels 1, 3, 5 & 7 from the board, but no others. My question is, how to I get all 8 channels from the Mackie assigned to individual channels in Cakewalk? Any help would be greatly appreciated by this newbie here. Thanks, James

I have the same interface, and for routing I see Channels 1,3,5,7 (Main) as stereo or mono option. Channels 2 and 4 are selectable as mono only, and I believe 6 and 8 are always paired with 5 and 7 as stereo. So if you're seeing only 1,3,5 and 7, check and see if those are stereo channels, because if so, that's by design.

Could you list out what routing options for the 820i you are seeing in Sonar?

i7-870 2.93Ghz, 16GB RAM, Radeon HD 5770 + 2 x DisplayLink w/ 4 x 22" screens, Intel SSD 80GB, Sonar X1-D Exp.

The routing options are: Left 1 Right 1 Stereo 1 Left 3 Right 3 Stereo 3 Left 5 Right 5 Stereo 5 Left 7 Right 7 Stereo 7 I've selected stereo on all of them. Does this mean that if I select left or right on them that I will separate channels in order to get the full eight tracks? By the way, I don't even see channels 2, 4, 6 & 8 as options in the pull down routing options. Thanks for the help. James
