New Track Automation Sets Random Value?

When I add a track automation, it seems to set a random new value for the entire track. Is there any way to get X1 to set the track automation to the current value of that paremeter? For example, I have my cutoff set at 42. However, when I create a new track automation the new automation line is at 75 - therefore altering it for the entire track. Idealy I would like the new automation inserted at whatever the current value is then I can set a new value at the current marker. Seems like a waste of time to have to go to the begining and reset it THEN go back to where I was working and set it again.

Any ideas or is this something that might be a bug?

Wasting more time with X1 quirks...

I don't see that behaviour unless it's specific to a synth. Have you tried taking a snapshot as a starting point?

It's also possible to change the whole envelope in one go by using the smart tool at the top of the envelope lane/track. There the cursor changes to the envelope level tool. Click dragging then will change either the selected region if there is one or the whole envelope of there is no selection.
