    Hi Rik and Janet,
This is really good.  I love the feel and melody.  The guitar sound is spot on.  I really love the piano and string parts.  Minor comments are that the piano is too dull sounding and the strings are a little to brittle, at least in my cans that's how it sounds.

    Great job.

    peaceful

    nice job on the tune.

while I did enjoy this, I think in a few places it kinda got lost. In the middle, there were of course, chords, but the melody kinda got hidden. it came back at 1:45

A beautiful collaboration.  The parts fit together nicely.  I'm glad you kept it short and sweet.  Will there be more from the two or you in the future?

    Nice!

I like what you did with this. Nice work Janet! I love how you enhance rather than hinder all the different sections. Either adding color above or a solid ground below.

Rik, if you keep putting out different versions of this mix you could put them all on one cd. Call it "Borrowed Time" (ode to Howard Hughes). I know, bad joke. TBH, it's really a testament to how one bit of music can be approached in many different ways.

    Well done!

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

Nice work folks. There seemed to be places where the gel or cohesion between the parts got a little lost, but when the gel was there it was very good. Nice orchestral sounds by the way ... I especially liked the lower strings (or is that brass?).

Thanks so much for that, Rimshot.   I imagine there will be another mix or two of this one before it's totally done. :)

Thanks PM.  Good moods are nice.   :)

Thanks Herb.  We'll listen to it again with that in mind.

Thanks Lynn.  Yeah, short & sweet is good. :)  And to answer your question...I imagine so. :)

Thanks for that, GP.  Yeah, I'm not always so good at keeping it sparse...glad you noticed. ;)

    Thanks Mark.  :)

Thanks Bill.  Not exactly sure how to fix the un-gelled parts, but maybe after I listen to it more it will come.  That's 3 cellos and I rather like that part too.  I've recently learned a bit more about writing for cello and I'm excited to try it more.

What I like the most is the unconventional chord movement.  It keeps my ears engaged.

    Great playing both of you.
