BitBridge and 32bit VST plugins
Hi all, I am using Sonar X1 x64 on Windows 7 x64. However, I have many x32 vst plugins installed, as well. The problem is, BitBridge opens every x32 plugin in its own window (always on top) with a separate taskbar button and takes all keyboard input. Therefore, when I minimize Sonar, I still have the plugins visible on the screen on the top of everything else. Also, when a plugin is focused, then I cannot play the project simply by pressing space key on the keyboard. This is very inconvenient. Have someone of you faced these problems and did find a solution, at least, a workaround? Thanks, Zlatko

Try using jBridge, you can download a demo and if it works for you, the price is right. http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ I use it on most of my 32 bit vsts, it's third party, but Cakewalk supports it.

Yes, me too. Please post a problem report to Cakewalk, the more we are the more they perhaps take care. I've also posted a problem report about bitbridge. My point is, I know jbridge works and it's unexpensive, but it's someone else who does it. If Cakewalk proposes its own translator, I expect it to work and I ask CW to fix it if it doesn't work properly.

I have Benstat's Sonar Plus which also offers a button to make the Bitbridged plugins act as 64 bit plugins with their window. They wont stay on top. Goto Sonar Mods here. You will need to log in but I highly recommend Sonar Plus.

I'd like to know the same, but seeing as I'm usually ignored,I can only hope the Saxon one gets the answer.

Guys, Panup has kept it going. I love Sonar Plus. It does what it was meant to do. You have to get the patch for X1 D Examped. It will bring it up to date for loading X1.

pwal i wonder, taking a look at http://www.fx-max.com/ , if bitbridge is actually now abandonware? rather is fx-max's fx-teleport abandonware, as there had not been any sign from the developer since more than 3 years, now. It only is x32, too. jBridge working fine here with nearly all plugins/hosts I have. You have to dig into jBridgeds individual settings for some plugins, though, but you do it once and everything works. Definately worth the money. With Sonar, you won't even have to jbridge your plugs, as jBridge support is built into sonar.

Not having a single issue with jBridge. I have every single plugin fx and synths from IK Multimedia and they all work fine with jBridge
