Seriously looking for a girl country singer
I've written an up-tempo country song called "That Boy Knew How to Kiss" that I think has hit potential. I have a contact and 3 other potential contacts in Nashville (but, of course, can't guarantee that it will be listened to by someone who can place the song with a big name artist). Need a girl singer. I want to do this demo right as you can tell from the instrumentation already done. At the Soundclick link below there are two files: 1)with vocal and 2) no vocal.  with vocal - That's me "singing" in the girl key. The verses are way out of my range and I'm dropping down an octive on the two bridges. Do your best to listen beyond my vocal. There's an open place for electric guitar break.  No vocal - You can hear the first cut of the backing without my voice. Still need to add guitar break and fills. Want to pull back the piano a bit. Think its a great start. Good female singers are hard to find...... but, check here, there are a few that sing and also on some other songwriters forums..... and if you attend a church there should be some there who can sing.
Local is best. I was able to find a really good singer locally..... trying to get her into the studio is difficult as she is a student and has a full schedule and is active in plays and school activities. She's the singer on Give me a Chance and Come & Go..... both on my sound click site.
You can also post the song MP3 in the songs forum here and ask for females singers to PM you. I've had a few I've worked with on a few projects that I met here. Post and ask.

Come and Go is a GREAT song. Her vocal is pretty good. I might want to use her if she's available but that would require the use of your studio. Couldn't find Give Me A Chance on your Soundclick site. Can't use church...."I'm Catholic!!!" Will check out the music forum. I do Christian music too.

Give me a chance... second song down the list. One thread per topic is generally the acceptable norm. You should post the song link in THIS thread..... go back and edit the OP and place the link there. People will listen and possibly respond. Like I said earlier, we have some ladies here who do sing and are good. If you post the song link, they will eventually check it out and if they like it, you might have your singer. Also as you hang out here, you will come to know who does what and you can approach them as well. As for my singer.... if you post the link to the song I can forward it to her and tell her it's a "paying gig" and she might be interested... or might be too busy. nothing will happen without hearing the song... even if it's sung by a male. People need to hear the idea.... music, groove, melody, lyrics....

A singer can sound good on their own song and not do so well on yours. I usually just send my song and see if they'll do a take and see how they fit. You can probably save some time. How country is it? Eva (my sister) loves to sing and does it out of that love, usually not for money. She is a devout Christian so if there's off color material she probably wouldn't do it. You can hear her on our website (link in my signature) on "The Dream", "Tahiti Sunrise" and "Porch Swing". I have always told her not to work under pressure so that would be a pre-requisite.
