separate video card?

Is it necessary to buy a separate video card with a new DAW build? If I do not plan on much video work.

SONAR X3C PE , Windows Pro 8.1 64 BIT
I7 2600k,  Gigabyte Z68MA MB, 8 gigs Ram
Corsair SSD 240, WD ,HD 150GB VelociRaptor, 
Roland Quad capture, Mackie 824 M2
Yamaha S90 keyboard,
Omnisphere, Trillian, kontakt 5., Zebra HZ
Diva, Addictive keys.

    I would think not.  I've never used anything but the video built into the mobo.
    Gamers love them but games place high demands on video and the high-end cards provide hardware acceleration for the games.

    depends on the plug ins you want to use Nebula likes to have a good nVidia, Waves needs strong open GL there are others of course. try it first before you add one..

    FWIW, You can add a nice passive cooled HD5450 for $40.
