I can hear Clean guitar AND amplitube at the same time when trying to record
I can hear Clean guitar AND amplitube at the same time when trying to record. This is very distracting and it sounds bad. How can I just hear the vst plugin effects (amplitube) while I'm playing?

i didnt even read your post...but check to make sure your audio interface(the thing your pluging into...or e.g. your soundcard) the mix control is sending two signals..one clean and one to the source..keep the source...turn the mix control....its elementry watson..

How can I just hear the vst plugin effects (amplitube) while I'm playing? I suggest going into your Windows Control Panel and opening the UA-1G controls. Then make sure Use ASIO Direct Monitor is disabled. That can also be disabled in the Sonar Audio Options>ASIO Panel.

ASIO4ALL actually works with the WDM/KS driver so I don't know how that would affect the ASIO panel in the Guitar Tracks Pro Audio Options. I suggest gong into the Windows Control panel, finding the UA-1G icon, double clicking it and making the change there. Is there a reason you're using ASIO4ALL and not true ASIO, which the UA-1G supports?

it would have been extremely helpful if you had mentioned you were using asio4all..then again..you didnt even mention what kind of interface you were using in your first post..nor what operating system or soundcard??? the best way to recieve good help is to give good details. is there not a big knob on your ua-1g ???...its called the mix control.

chuckebaby is there not a big knob on your ua-1g ???...its called the mix control. That big knob adjusts the Input Sensitivity. Input Monitoring on the UA-1G is best done within the program, or in the Control Panel. The UA-1G has two settings for Input Monitoring. ON, and AUTO. AUTO allows Input Monitoring to be turned on and off with the recording software. That reminds me, zackweiler, make sure the setting on the bottom of the UA-1G is set to Input Monitoring-AUTO. Otherwise it will always be on. I'm not sure, but you may need to disconnect and reconnect the UA-1G after making any changes for them to take effect.

Allright I', all mmessed up now. I'm trying to find my original ASIO drivers and can't remember where theyre located? Also, my UA-1G drivers install, but the installation won't finish and i am forced to cancel it. SO no UA-1G icon is placed in the control panel...

I use the UA-1G and have some experience with it. I'm glad your problem has been resolved and you can get back to making music.

Good job, Chappel. Zack, you will probably have more questions, and it helps us help you if we know what you are working with. List your equipment, OS, Cakewalk Software(GTPro (4?)), and other relevant info in your signature. It makes it easier to get to the meat of the question.
