MOTU 8 PRE OR MAUDIO 2626????

All knowing group of musical wizards...
Looking to up grade interfaces when I build a new studio PC. Anyone out there with opinions and or facts about these two firewire interfaces? I know I would be better off with an RME but there is only so much cash to go around. Success and failure stories and incompatibility issues is what I am looking for.Any and all info will as always be greatly received.
