Has anyone tried the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface with SONAR X1?

I'm planning on purchasing the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, and was wondering if anyone has had experience with it in SONAR X1? How does it perform? Thanks in advance

    I use a Scarlett 8i6 interface.
Good to use - very quiet.
I now prefer to use a pre-amp before it as you will find the gain structure on the mic inputs strange i.e. to get them to work they have to be full on!
My unit does not like sharing with a usb mouse either - go back to ps/2.
    Otherwise ok.

I've been using a 2i2 with X1 64 bit for about 3 months now and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I use it in preference to my Edirol FA-66 which on paper is technically better but the 2i2 sounds better and has better round trip latency.

Round trip latency for the 2i2 is about 7ms (using Intel  i7, 16gb RAM, Windows 7 64bit, ASIO).

Don’t know where you’re based but it cost me £119 in the UK which is considerably cheaper than my Edirol FA-66 and in my opinion is much better. If you’re looking for a simple, value for money audio input device this is it.

    P.S. Make sure you use a USB2 port; it doesn’t like USB3

I've been forced to upgrade my entire system due to a catastrophic problem (I had SONAR 8.5, 4 gig RAM) ... that being said, I've gone through the growing pains of not being able to use my Delta 44 (no PCI ... only PCIe on new computer) additionally, not being able to use my M-Audio Midisport 2x2 for Win 7 compatibility reasons ... I've replaced the aforementioned devices with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and a Cakewalk UM-3g respectively and all is well ... well almost.

Here's my current setup;  i5-2320 intel, 16 gig RAM, SONAR X1d

Herein lies my existing problem;  I'm experiencing latency problems when recording an audio track.  Are there websites I can get precisely the settings I should be seeing when I view my Audio Device settings?  Or, if one of you much appreciated gurus have the info, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm anxious to get back to recording ... again, all of your help is greatly appreciated.

Hold-up everybody ... I just resolved this issue ... now, I can honestly say that I'd highly recommend the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.

The fix was downloading the new drivers from Focusrite website
    http://www.focusrite.com/products/audio_interfaces/scarlett_2i2/downloads/

    This immediately fixed my problem.

Just as a reference and assistance for anybody reading this thread;  as mentioned, I used an M-audio midisport 2x2 prior and a Delta 44 as well ... I can't ever remember my system being as stable as my new one.  I always had problems with the Midisport 2x2 just falling off the wagon, meaning just randomly deciding not to communicate with any of my old systems ... and, with regard to the Delta 44 there weren't any problems that I had ever encountered.  But, I was always fighting the Midisprt 2x2.  That being said, I'd never buy another M-audio product.

If you ever plan to upgrade to Windows 7, be prepared for peripheral upgrades as well due to compatibility reasons.  Once done, it'll be far superior than what you have now.  These two new peripherals installed flawlessly.  The only problem was the latency which was a simply download of the new Focusrite driver and a reboot of my system.  Latency is gone, totally.

Gotta get back to recording ... thanks to anybody who started looking into this and I hope my find helps others.

Another positive vote for the Focusrite Scarlett series. I also upgraded my system last December to Win7, and had to ditch my old e-mu interface. Opted for the Scarlett 8i6, and it has worked flawlessly.
