Looks cool! Can you comment on your "500 Series" equipment? I am contemplating taking the plunge and just wondering if you are happy with how it works with your set up.

Ahhhh yes.... a better picture than FB.

    Nice rack!

Yeah... you still got some holes to fill there and you know how nature abhors a vacuum.

@ Middleman - Yes, the one I have (TC Electronic Triple C) is not sufficient from a quality standpoint. I actually have another empty 6 space that plan on filling with comps and EQ's.

The first one is going to be a Retro Doublewide followed by a Shadow Hills Dual Vandergraph. Although I'll be adding compression not so much for the compression (I prefer doing that with my UAD plug(s) but rather for the color aspect.

The Retro is a tube compressor and I'm anxious to try my AT 4060 (tube) through the LaChapell (Scott put in an NOS Telefunken in place of the standard Sovtek) and then through the Retro comp with it's 4 tubes and Cinemag trannys. I think it will make a pretty good vocal chain going in.

I also have an AEA R84 which is sounding good through the LaChapell on a sibilant female vocalist I had in recently.  Whew, sorry for the long-winded response.

The only thing I'll share with you is, I'll never look back. It's great to have different flavors to pair up with different vocals/mics/instruments. I do think a decent quality TT patchbay is very important to get the best workflow happening.

The patchbay is a sanity device if well labeled.

some KILLER gear!  I really want a A-Designs Pacifica preamp.  I see you have a couple of the 500 series. Do you like them and do you use them a lot?

Kev - I really like them a lot. Of course it depends on the source. That's why I have several different pres to choose from, depends on the source. I think you'd be happy with the Pacifica although I think the Great Rivers are the most versatile. YMMV.
