I have 64 bit rewire...thank you Cakewalk.

It won't make my music better but now I can start a project in X1 64 bit and keep it there if I want to open Reason.
A painless install of X1d and I'm chuffed to pieces. Happiness is a rare thing.

I must go and check out what else the update does......

Ah good,  I wonder if perchance you can answer anything here then.

I am considering purchasing an upgrade on the strength of this only I can't seem to find anybody that can illuminate in any detail.

I do not have an older version of Sonar installed but I can see where you are coming from regarding the link between X1d and the new rewire capability. It could be that older versions can 64 bit rewire if the right file is there? I don't know .

As for the channels I tend to use the main outs from Reason only. There is still a list of left/right/stereo in Sonar but choosing stereo isn't going to be stereo if it is a single (mono) channel from Reason.

In the end whatever the deal is it works for me how I'm used to using it so I'm a happy bunny.

Yeah, the routing is not the end of the world, I have templates set-up for multi-outs anyway when I need them, it's just one of those attention to detail things that have gone on for years.

Glad it's working out for you 64 bit Rewire in itself is a cool thing especially as it is pretty easy to tip a project over 4 Gb these days.
