[ UNSOLVED!!!!] Dimension Pro invalid extension key...

I saw a thread mentioning somenthing about it a few weeks a go... After run a CCleaner my Dimension Pro 1.5 started asking me for reg. code... I did insert the code CW send me long ago... It tells me it is an invalid key... So, I was about instal X1D and decide to run a recover copy of my system... After that, X1D installed and... Dimension Pro again... Invalid Key...

Ideas?

Right-click on Dimension Pro and run it as Administrator, then input your registration code.  After that, you can run it without having to run as Administrator.

I still got the message...

Try running Dimension directly from the icon within the dimension folder instead of from within Sonar and then enter your reg code. I ran across that solution when i was having my issues. Can't verify if it works since my issue was resolved another way.

In my case, the problem seemed to be because I had the earlier (1.2?) version of DPx32 installed (along with x64) but did not replace it when I upgraded to DP1.5 x64.  IOW, I chose the x64 option in the upgrade installer, but did not rerun the installer again to do the x32 upgrade.  When I did that, the problem went away. 
 
Search on my id, you should find the relevant thread.  It will also have links about where to look in the registry to spot the conflict.  Scratch that - can't find the thread myself.  Anyway, I think the problem stems from the fact that *both* the x32 and x64 versions had one product key for the old version, a new one for 1.5 (as others have said), but that Sonar gets confused by the registry unless it is consistent for both.

EDIT - My memory is better in the morning.  In my case, the issue was that DP1.5x64 worked fine in Sonar, but I was getting the "wrong key" message when trying to plug DPx32 into a 32 bit app.  That's when I discovered I hadn't upgraded *it* to 1.5, and when I did so, it was that problem that went away.

Nothing is working here... I'd tryed every single suggestion of you guys...I even did re-reinstall a backup (recover) of my system, from a time that Dimension Pro 1.5 was working...

I still having the invalid extension message!

What the h...!!!

Any other suggestions?

Roll back to the 'backup' CCleaner made and I'm sure your issue will go away. You should do that or reinstall Dimension Pro.
 
CCleaner hosed your installation.

I did it... I just re-instal a backup earlier than when CCleaner was used... I try re-instal Dimension Pro... I even went to my CW account to get sure if I was using the right reg code...
Nothing is working...

Have you tried using System Restore to take computer back to state before Dimension stopped working? Although my post indicated that i thought it was CCleaner that screwed up my licenses, it turned out to be bad timing and nothing to do wit hCC.

The solution may be a complete uninstall and re-install of Dim Pro.
 
Try to completely uninstall Dim Pro, including deleting the registry keys for it. Below are instructions for deleting of the registry keys for Dim Pro after you uninstall Dim Pro, curtesy of Bristol_Jonesey and a discussion that took place in another thread:

Backup your registry before you start!!!!!

If you don't know how, here's how:

1 - open up the Registry Editor (type regedit into the run command box)
2 - select File > Export. Give it a name and save it to your desktop

If you do foul up the editing process, just run regedit again and select Flie > Import

Delete the following Registry keys
(skip any of the keys if they don't exist in your registry) :

 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Dimension Pro
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Dimension Pro
 HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\dp
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\dp

After doing this, restart the computer and re-install Dim Pro, enter the regcode and see if the problem is solved.

I did that regedit clean up procedure you, and Bristol Jonesey, recomended me... Then, i have DP re-installed and when i entered the reg code everything went right...

But now I got the message again... Invalid extension...

More 13 days and I will no longer be a DP owner (lol).

Re-instal Sonar is something I really like to avoid...

Before you do that, there's a bunch of things you can check to at least see if your installation is comparable to one that doesn't have that problem (mine).  Sorry in advance if this is too simplistic.
 
Did you have DP1.2x32 installed?  If so, when you upgraded to 1.5x64, did you rerun the upgrade installer to upgrade 1.2x32 also.  If not, it's possible Sonar is getting confused by unmatching serial numbers (even if you're not loading the x32 version.)
 
Assuming you did, then:
Using windows explorer check the file details for each of the dll files.  The x32 dll file version is:  1.5.0.5.  The x64 dll version is the same, 1.5.0.5.
 
The registry classid for Dimension Pro should be the bolded value in the following string: 
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{083863F1-70DE-11D0-BD40-00A0C911CE86}\Instance\{E8E977EA-52E4-4C77-8B6A-090901B2985B}
You might want to search for every instance of it in the registry and make sure things "look right."  If you should uninstall DP again, then you might want to make sure there's no reference to this CLSID in the registry before reinstalling.
 
Under the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\Dimension Pro
there will be an entry for the registration code.  Be sure it's the same string as appears in your online account for the 1.5 version.  It is not the same as the 1.2 code.
Some of the registry keys for Dimension Pro also give the product serial number.  Be sure that matches what appears in your online account as well.
 
I say all that because in your OP, you say you entered the key CW sent you "long ago."  So I'm wondering if you're trying to register 1.5 with the 1.2 key.
