    Saw the northern lights from Stavanger Norway.  Looked more like intense upper sky lightening - running parallel to the ground.  Eventually turned into almost solid light there was so much.

    I heard a rumor that we might even be able to see a little from where we are - that's pretty rare!

    Unfortunately, I'm yet to see these things...  (Maybe I should keep an acid sugar-cube ready for that day?)
